No Warehouse Access from Ground Level
The manufacturing customer's warehouse building didn’t allow access to the interior from the ground level. They explained how this prevented them from moving their product and equipment that was outside back to their manufacturing and storage areas.
An inefficient warehouse dock area leads to an unsuccessful warehouse. Loading docks are the heart of a warehouse’s operations. They not only allow you to accept and send out shipments, but they protect the contents of your warehouse from being damaged or stolen. Without proper loading dock doors and dock equipment:

Installing a Loading Dock Door
To combat the inaccessibility issue, SSE’s Dock and Door service experts cut an opening into one side of the warehouse building and installed a new 14’ wide x 16’ tall motorized loading dock door provided by Southern State Enterprises. A ramp was then created by pouring concrete that formed a ramp leading up to the dock door— giving the customer full access to their warehouse from the ground level. Our SSE service technicians also installed safety curbs and bollards along the sides of the concrete ramp as an added warehouse dock safety solution.
