Dock Seals

Dock Seals are the barriers between the Loading Dock Door opening and surface of the backed-in trailer when it is in position to load or unload. The Dock Seal or Shelter, while distinctly different in how it accomplishes the task, is designed to create a barrier to seal out the outdoors with the inside of your warehouse. We all know Florida can have some 'Legendary' summer storms. There is a safety factor, as the afternoon weather comes in, rain and wind often come with it causing floors to become wet and slippery. In addition to weather, these devices will help seal out unwanted problems like bugs, dirt, rodents, and unwanted pedestrian traffic all while providing an energy efficient, climate-controlled seal for your warehouse. Dock Seals are designed to contact the trailer surface at the door and compress, thus creating a seal around the door. Proper sizing and grade are essential to insure the seal works like it is was designed to.

Dock Shelters

Dock Shelters are a more flexible enclosure that allows the trailer to pull under and in to the opening while the surface of the fabric forms a contact barrier around the rear of the trailer. Since they fit more loosely around the trailer, Shelters tend to last longer and be more forgiving to truck drivers. Further, Shelters allow for more variability in the sizes of trailers that can be 'sheltered' effectively, as curtains are more forgiving in how they come into contact with each trailer. While the Shelter has advantages with variability in trailers, it may not 'seal' as tightly as a Dock Seal. In addition, the Shelter may have a service life of 2:1 over a seal on the same door.

Foam Curtain Dock Seal

Foam Curtain Dock Seals are constructed with durable L-shaped foam side pads that flex against the sides of a truck as it backs in, creating an effective seal without causing foam to protrude into the trailer and obstruct access to loads.

Rigid Shelters

Rigid Dock Shelter is designed to allow the truck to back into the shelter - as if into a tunnel. The side and top curtains flex inward with a wiping action that conforms to the truck body and completely seals the sides and top.

Soft Sided Shelter

Soft Seal Shelter acts like a shelter and dock seal combined. Soft Seal Shelter provides foam side pads and dock shelter style curtain that allows full access to the rear of the trailer and yields under off-center trucks impact, due to improper positioning at the loading dock.

Collapsible Shelter

The collapsible nature of this product means the frame will collapse back against the building if hit by a poorly aligned vehicle, rather than failing like a traditional fixed frame design.
